Real-money wagering is not currently available through this website. This guide explains how the process works for players in Alberta; deposits, bets and withdrawals open only once the operator's registration with the AGLC is confirmed.
Step 1 — Create an Account
Registration takes a couple of minutes: you enter your name, date of birth, mobile number and email, choose a password and accept the Terms and Conditions. One person may hold only one account, and the details must match your identity documents, because they are checked in the next step.
Requirements:
- Minimum age 18+ — the date of birth is checked against your ID.
- Valid personal information — your legal name and current residential address.
- Email address — used for account messages and password resets.
- Phone number — a Canadian mobile number you can be reached on.
- Identity verification — completed before any real-money play (see Step 2).
Step 2 — Verify Your Identity
Regulated operators in Alberta must confirm who their players are — a process known as KYC (Know Your Customer). It protects minors, prevents one person from opening several accounts and is part of Canada's anti-money-laundering rules.
You will usually be asked for a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's licence, passport or Alberta ID card. If the automatic check cannot match your details, you may also be asked for a proof of address, for example a recent utility bill or bank statement.
Step 3 — Confirm Your Location
Real-money bets can only be placed while you are physically located in Alberta. Your residence does not matter for this check: a visitor from another province can bet while in Alberta, and an Alberta resident cannot bet while travelling outside it.
The location check runs when you log in and again before bets are accepted. If it fails, you can still browse the site and manage your account, but wagering stays closed until your location is confirmed. The methods used are described in Alberta Specifics below.
Step 4 — Choose a Payment Method
All balances and transactions are in CAD. The payment methods listed for the site are Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, iDebit, Paysafecard, Apple Pay. Paysafecard and Apple Pay can be used for deposits only, so you would need another method to withdraw.
Payments must come from an account or card in your own name. Minimum and maximum amounts and any processing times are shown in the cashier for each method; we do not list figures here that have not been confirmed.
Step 5 — Explore Sports
The sportsbook lists every sport with its upcoming events, starting with the leagues Canadians follow most: the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB. Choose a sport, for example Hockey or Basketball, to see its leagues and fixtures.
Open any event to see its full market list. You can mark sports as favourites in your account so they appear first the next time you visit.
Step 6 — Understand Betting Markets
Odds are shown in decimal format. The number is what each dollar of your stake returns if the bet wins, stake included: a $20 bet at 2.40 returns $48.00 CAD — your $20 back plus $28.00 profit. If the bet loses, the stake is lost.
Moneyline
You pick who wins the game. Example: Edmonton Oilers 1.85, Calgary Flames 2.05. A $20 bet on the Flames returns $41.00 if they win. In hockey and other sports, check the market rules for whether overtime and shootouts count.
Spread
The favourite has to win by more than a set margin, and the underdog can lose by less than it and still pay out. In hockey this is the puck line (usually 1.5 goals); in basketball and football, the point spread. Example: Oilers −1.5 at 2.40 — a $20 bet returns $48.00 only if Edmonton wins by two goals or more.
Totals
You bet on whether the combined score is over or under a line set by the sportsbook. Example: over 6.5 goals at 1.90 — a $20 bet returns $38.00 if seven or more goals are scored, and loses on six or fewer.
Parlays
A parlay combines two or more selections into one bet, and the odds are multiplied together. Example: $10 on Oilers moneyline at 1.85 and over 6.5 goals at 1.90 gives combined odds of 3.515, returning $35.15. Every selection has to win; if one loses, the whole parlay loses — which is why the price is higher.
Live Betting
Live (in-play) betting lets you bet while the event is running. Prices change with every goal, penalty or timeout, and markets can be suspended for a few seconds — or for longer — when something significant happens. Because decisions come quickly, live betting is the area where it is easiest to bet more than you planned; see sportsbook risks.
Step 7 — Explore Casino Games
The casino has online slots, jackpot games, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and other table games, plus live dealer tables streamed with real dealers. Games are grouped by type, and each one explains its rules before you play.
Casino results are random and every game has a house edge, so over time the casino keeps a share of what is wagered. Treat any session as paid entertainment with a fixed budget.
Step 8 — Set Personal Limits
Before your first deposit, decide how much you can afford to spend and set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit in your account. Lowering a limit takes effect straight away; raising it only takes effect after a 7-day cooling-off period, so a bad evening cannot turn into a higher limit on the spot.
You can also take a break of 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, or self-exclude for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. More options and free support are on the Responsible Gambling page.
Step 9 — Manage Your Account
The account area is where you update your contact details and password, check your verification status, choose favourite sports and manage your limits and breaks. Keep your details up to date — a changed address or phone number may need to be verified again.
Never share your login with anyone, and log out on shared devices. If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password and contact support.
Step 10 — Withdraw Funds
Withdrawals are requested from the cashier and, where possible, are paid back to the method you used to deposit (methods that support withdrawals: Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, iDebit). Your identity must be fully verified first, and you may be asked to confirm the payment method is yours.
Processing times depend on the method and on any checks required, and are shown in the cashier. Only withdraw to accounts in your own name; payments to third parties are not allowed.
11Alberta Specifics
Under AGLC rules, a player's physical location must be confirmed before real-money play. No single signal is enough on its own, so geolocation services combine several of them:
- IP Address — the network address of your connection gives a first indication of where you are and flags VPNs and proxies, which are not permitted.
- Device Geolocation — with your permission, the browser or app reads the location your device reports.
- Wi-Fi Location — nearby Wi-Fi networks are matched against known locations, which is more precise than an IP address, especially indoors.
- Mobile Location Services — on phones and tablets, GPS and cell-tower data confirm the position, which matters near the borders with British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Montana.
Location data is used only to confirm you are in Alberta and is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Still have questions? See the FAQ.
