01Registration
Select Register at the top of any page and enter your first and last name, date of birth, mobile phone number and email, then choose a password and accept the Terms and Conditions. The details must match your government-issued ID, because they are checked during verification. Real-money wagering is not currently available through this website, so a new account can be used to browse, save favourite sports and set limits ahead of time. The full process is explained in How It Works.
You must be at least 18 years old to open an account and gamble online in Alberta. The age confirmation you see on your first visit is only a first step: every date of birth is checked against government-issued photo ID before real-money play. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are closed. More on this is on our Responsible Gambling page.
Adults aged 18 or older who can provide valid identity documents can register. Real-money bets can only be placed while you are physically located in Alberta, which is confirmed by geolocation each time you play, whatever province you live in. People who are self-excluded, or who are not allowed to gamble under the Terms and Conditions or AGLC rules, may not open an account.
No. Each person may hold only one account, and duplicate accounts are closed when they are found during verification. This rule is part of responsible gambling and anti-fraud requirements: it keeps limits, breaks and self-exclusion effective across everything you do on the site. If you have forgotten your login, use password reset or contact support rather than opening a new account.
02Verification
Regulated operators in Alberta must confirm who each player is before real-money play, under AGLC standards and Canada's anti-money-laundering rules. Verification confirms you are 18 or older, prevents duplicate accounts and protects you if someone else tries to use your name or payment details. Your documents are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
We accept a valid government-issued photo ID: a driver's licence, a passport or an Alberta ID card. If the details cannot be matched automatically, we may also ask for a proof of address, such as a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your name and current address. Documents must be clear, in colour and not expired. Step 2 of How It Works explains the process.
Your physical location is checked using a combination of signals: your IP address, the location your device reports (with your permission), nearby Wi-Fi networks and, on mobile, location services such as GPS. Bets can only be accepted while you are confirmed to be inside Alberta; VPNs and proxies are not permitted. See Alberta Specifics for more detail.
03Sports Betting
You choose an outcome, such as which team wins or how many goals are scored, and stake an amount at the odds offered. Odds are shown in decimal format: the stake multiplied by the odds is your total return if the bet wins, so $20 at 2.40 returns $48.00, including your stake. If the bet loses, the stake is lost. Real-money wagering is not currently available through this website; you can browse every sport and market in the sportsbook and read the step-by-step guide in How It Works.
A moneyline bet is a bet on who wins the game, with no margin to cover. The favourite has lower odds and the underdog higher odds: for example, Edmonton Oilers 1.85 and Calgary Flames 2.05, where $20 on the Flames returns $41.00 if they win. Market rules state whether overtime and shootouts count, so check them before you bet. See Understanding Betting Markets.
A point spread gives the underdog a head start, so the favourite has to win by more than the set margin for a bet on it to win. In hockey it is called the puck line and is usually 1.5 goals; in basketball and football it is the point spread. For example, Oilers −1.5 wins only if Edmonton wins by two goals or more, while Flames +1.5 wins if Calgary wins or loses by one goal.
A totals bet, also called over/under, is a bet on the combined score of both teams compared with a line set by the sportsbook. If the line is 6.5 goals, "over" wins with seven or more goals and "under" wins with six or fewer. Lines ending in .5 cannot tie; whole-number lines can, and the market rules explain what happens then. You can find totals on most event pages in the sportsbook.
A parlay combines two or more selections into a single bet, and the odds are multiplied together. For example, $10 on a moneyline at 1.85 and a total at 1.90 gives combined odds of 3.515 and a return of $35.15. Every selection must win: if one loses, the whole parlay loses, which is why the potential return is higher and the risk is greater.
Live betting, or in-play betting, means placing bets while an event is in progress. Prices change constantly with the score and the clock, and markets can be suspended briefly — or closed — after a goal, a penalty or a video review. Because decisions come quickly, live betting makes it easy to bet more than planned; read our tips on sportsbook risks.
Bets are settled once the official result is confirmed, according to the rules of the market. Most markets are settled on the result at the end of regulation or full time unless the market says it includes overtime or extra time. If an event is postponed or abandoned, the market rules and our Terms and Conditions set out whether bets are voided and stakes returned.
No. Once a bet has been accepted, it cannot be cancelled or changed, so check the selection, odds and stake on your bet slip before you confirm. Odds can move between adding a selection and confirming it, so make sure the price on the slip is the one you want. If you think a bet was accepted in error, contact support with the details.
04Payments
The payment methods listed for the site are Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, iDebit, Paysafecard, Apple Pay, all in CAD. Paysafecard and Apple Pay can be used for deposits only. Minimum and maximum amounts and any processing times are shown in the cashier for each method; we do not publish figures that have not been confirmed. Real-money wagering is not currently available through this website, so the cashier is not open yet.
Once real-money play is available, deposits will be made from the cashier in your account after your identity and location are verified. You choose a method, enter an amount within your deposit limit and confirm the payment with your bank or card provider. Payments must come from an account or card in your own name. Real-money wagering is not currently available through this website, so deposits cannot be made today.
Withdrawals are requested from the cashier in your account. Your identity must be fully verified, and funds go back to the method you used to deposit wherever possible; deposit-only methods need another method for withdrawals. You may be asked to confirm that the payment method belongs to you. Step 10 of How It Works explains the process.
The time depends on the payment method you use and on whether any additional verification is needed. Processing times for each method are shown in the cashier, and we do not quote timeframes that have not been confirmed. Having your account fully verified before your first withdrawal request avoids the most common delays. For a specific request, contact support.
05Casino
The casino includes online slots, jackpot games, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and other table games, along with live dealer tables. Each game explains its rules before you play. All casino games are games of chance with a built-in house edge, so results cannot be predicted and losing is always possible.
Yes. The site works in the browser on phones and tablets, as well as on desktop, with no app to install. Sportsbook, casino and account pages adapt to the screen size, and the same limits and breaks apply on every device. On mobile, location services may be needed to confirm you are in Alberta before you can play for real money.
Yes. The live casino has tables hosted by real dealers and streamed in real time, including blackjack, roulette and baccarat. You place your bets on screen and the dealer runs each round at the table. The same rules on age, location and limits apply as for every other game.
06Responsible Gambling
Log in and open your account, then set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit. Lowering a limit applies immediately; raising it only takes effect after a 7-day cooling-off period, and a pending increase can be cancelled in the meantime. You can set a limit before your first deposit, which is a good habit. More tools are described on our Responsible Gambling page.
Log in and open your account to take a break of 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. During a break you cannot deposit or bet, and the break cannot be ended early. If you want a longer pause, self-exclusion is available. You can also talk to GameSense Alberta at 1-833-447-7523 at any time.
Log in and open your account to self-exclude from this site for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years; the exclusion cannot be reversed before it ends. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) also operates a voluntary self-exclusion program for gambling in Alberta. To ask about it, contact the AGLC at aglc.ca or GameSense Alberta at 1-833-447-7523. See Self-Exclusion for details.
