01Who We Are
Sportsinteraction is an independent sportsbook and online casino brand designed around the way people in Alberta follow sport. The site brings together pre-match and live sports markets, casino games and account tools in one place, with prices shown in CAD and every page written in Canadian English.
We think a betting site should be easy to understand before anyone puts money on it. That is why the rules, the way markets work and the limits you can set are explained in plain language on pages such as How It Works, FAQ and Responsible Gambling.
Real-money wagering is not currently available through this website. You can browse sports, events, markets and the casino lobby, and you can create an account and set up your limits in advance. Accounts, verification and payments will only open for play once the operator's registration with the AGLC is confirmed.
02Our Background
Sportsinteraction was shaped by a simple idea: a sportsbook for Albertans should start with the sports Albertans actually watch. Hockey comes first — the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames in the NHL, the Calgary Wranglers in the AHL — followed by the NBA, the NFL and MLB, which carry most of the attention across Canada through the year.
Around that core we added the sports with a loyal following in the province and beyond: curling, lacrosse with the Calgary Roughnecks in the NLL, soccer from MLS and the major European leagues, tennis, combat sports, golf and Formula 1. The aim is depth where it matters to local fans rather than an endless list of leagues nobody follows.
03Canadian Sports Betting
Since single-event sports betting became legal in Canada in 2021, each province decides how online gambling is offered within its borders. That means the rules for an account, the operators that may serve players and the protections in place depend on the province where you are physically located when you place a bet.
For Canadian bettors, the most followed markets are the NHL, the NBA (including the Toronto Raptors), the NFL and MLB (including the Toronto Blue Jays), with the CFL, MLS and international soccer close behind. Odds on Sportsinteraction are shown in decimal format, which makes it easy to see what a bet returns: the stake multiplied by the price.
04Alberta Market
In Alberta, online gambling is regulated by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC). The province's regulated online market is managed by Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC), which works with registered private operators. Players must be at least 18 years old and physically located in Alberta to place real-money bets.
Our site is built for that framework: every account goes through identity and age checks, location is confirmed before any wager, all amounts are in CAD, and the personal limits and breaks required for player protection are available from the account area.
05Licensing and Regulation
Private operators in Alberta must be registered with the AGLC and meet the AGLC Standards and Requirements for Internet Gaming. The registration covers areas such as identity verification, geolocation, game fairness, anti-money-laundering controls, responsible gambling tools and the protection of personal information.
The registration details for this site are listed in the Company Information table below exactly as they stand today. Where a value reads "To Be Verified", it has not yet been confirmed, and we do not present the site as registered until it is. You can check the status of any gaming operator directly with the regulator at aglc.ca.
06Our Sportsbook
The sportsbook covers 16 sports: Soccer, Hockey, American Football, Basketball, Darts, Volleyball, Baseball, Tennis, Rugby Union, Cricket, Curling, MMA, Lacrosse, Boxing, Golf, Formula 1. Each sport has its own page with upcoming events, and each event page lists the full set of markets for that match.
Depending on the sport you will find the moneyline, point or puck line spreads, totals (over/under), props and parlays, along with live betting while an event is in progress. If you are new to any of these, Step 6 of How It Works explains each market with a worked example in CAD.
07Our Casino
The casino includes online slots, jackpot games, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and other table games, plus live dealer tables streamed from a studio with real dealers. Games are grouped by type so you can find what you want without scrolling through hundreds of titles.
Casino games are games of chance: every spin, hand or round has a built-in house edge, and results cannot be predicted or influenced. We describe the rules of each game, but we never suggest a strategy that removes the risk of losing.
08Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so information between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit. Account passwords are stored as one-way hashes rather than in readable form, and forms are protected against cross-site request forgery and automated spam.
Personal information is handled under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act and applicable Canadian law, and identity documents are used only for verification, age checks and anti-money-laundering obligations. The details are set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
09Responsible Gambling
Betting should stay a form of entertainment with a budget you can afford to lose — never a way to earn money or recover losses. We follow a few simple principles:
- Only adults aged 18 or older may hold an account, and age is checked against identity documents.
- Deposit limits, breaks of 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, and self-exclusion of 6 months, 1 year or 5 years are available from your account.
- Increases to a deposit limit only take effect after a 7-day cooling-off period; decreases apply straight away.
- Free, confidential help is available in Alberta from GameSense, Alberta Health Services and 211.
